Changes carried out to an option 11c to add both way hotlines to existing digital sets caused multiple 5222 errors to be displayed. A search on tek-tips forum indicated that it can be associated with the template and users have reported success if a new DN is created and then add the hotlines. Unfortunately the creation of the dn did not stop the error messages being displayed.

On the other post a reference was made to maximum number of DN's that could be added to a phone, I am unable to find any documentation that lists the respective limits. Can someone confirm the maximum number of DN's permitted and if there are any other workarounds. The software version on the switch is 24.55.

Curent phone config: 20 scr, 5 one way hotlines, 9 both way hotlines

Proposed phone config: 3 scr, 5 one way hotlines, 31 both way hotlines

The error message was displayed when key 55 was being added, up to that point there was 3 scr, 5 one way hotlines and 26 both way hotlines programmed.

Appreciate any guidance in resolving this issue.

Thanks in advance

Stuart

I've found this below for you.

SCH5222 and probable corruption on sets using 2x AOM's rls24 rls25

There are 2 scenarios to look for
a)Switches with softwares below Rls 24.25 uprading to 24 or 25.15 may experience corruption on digital sets that are using 2x AOM's with almost all keys programmed up normally as HOT or ADL.
Once corruption as been cleared you may get the 2nd problem below
b)Another problem encountered on new switches at 24.25 and 25.15 when trying to programme HOT/ADL on the AOM's you get SCH5222 which is saying you have exceeded the software allocation for that TN.
This cannot be cleared at these levels you will need upgrade to Rls 25.40 . If you have a site due for upgrade to 25.15 and have sets with more than 1 AOM you can load a diag p8478 and check if any sets will encounter the above problems beforehand and deal as per newsflash.....

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

The switch is unlikely to be upgraded, it is used in a bespoke configuration with the current version the only approved one. A web search identified my issues as a common problem when creating digital sets with many hot lines. The error code refers to ADL/CFW exceeds the maximum length of the template. One solution offered on pbxinfo involves creating hot line lists which are then referred to in the HOT D key programming thereby reducing the memory space required to hold the data. The majority of hotline numbers that were part of the proposed key configuration were 12 or higher digits which would certainly use more space.

I will try to change the programming to refer to a hotline list as suggested and see if it solves the problem.

(fingers crossed!!)
