SCEXP error on TLU79,but the trunks in working fine

Hi,

SCEXP;
EXTERNAL SYNC RECEIVING LINES DATA
MASTER LIM STATUS
FIRST CHOICE 1-2-42-0 INTERNAL SYNC ERROR
SECOND CHOICE 1-2-42-2 OK
THIRD CHOICE 1-2-42-4 OK

As i install the TLU79,when i initial the clock as 1-2-42-0,i always get INTERNAL SYNC ERROR,but the TLU79 is working perfectly fine.
Q1.May i know, it is a MUST to initial the SCEXI clock for TLU79 as Incoming&Outgoing ISDN2/BRI trunks

-Info.: Had tried to initial the FEML on cct 1-2-42-6 but same error happened.
-Info. : had programmed SEML & TEML too,will this help.I am not sure???

Q2.- This error will it cause the ISDN2 to malfunction??because i encounterd sometimes No incoming call can be received from the public PSTN??? will MD Hang the ISDN2 circuit & caused Incoming not working???

you must have it in 00 slot same as TLU 76/1 otherwise
no synch (ie 40 not 42 )

Does this means i do not need to do the scexi, the isdn2 still will work.So what is the purposes for the scexi

tigerlow, you need scexi to stay "in sync" with the external world. in fact your LSU has it's own internal clock on which the MD110 synchronises. as long if you don't have any extra clock sources this is no problem. the real problem lies in that fact, that when the LSU clock and the ISDN BRA clock begin to differ from one and each other. this problem is known as "SLIP" and this may result into cut calls, noise on the lines etc... to prevent this type of SLIP it is best to synchronize the MD110 LSU onto the ISDN BRA to compensate any clock differences.

I will re-program the TLU79 to slot 1-2-40,if still has problem in getting the syn.I will replace the TLU79 board.

internal sync error was also a fault in BC9 & BC10 in some releases. look for SYNCEXT lost signal in HIMDP;

I have the same problem, and it is bc12sp2, but I have serious problems with synchronization.
I´ve proved putting the TLU79 in 1-0-00 and in 1-0-30, and the result is INTERNAL SYNC ERROR. Any idea?

Hi corch,

the problem you're having could be anything.
but I'll try. the first thing I see that you have BC12 in SP2. latest BC12 version is SP5 (and SP6 will be released shortly). if after sp upgrade you still have the same problem, I would check LSU/DSU cards. is this the only problem you're having??

What are the shortcomings recd. in SP5 till date??

I am planning for a upgrade to SP5, it will be better if you put some light on this rather than struggling after the upgrade....
