scavaging records

I have one domain running one zone (AD integrated) and had a question on scavaging records. Do I have to turn on scavaging for each DNS server that holds a copy of the zone, or do I just turn it on at the primary DNS server?

My other questions is do I have to turn on zone transfers at each DNS server housing my main zone? Or does it have to be turned on in only one place?
