I have an AMD K6-2 333MHZ, Everytime (almost) I perform a Cold boot Scanreg runs informing me that it has found a damagrd registry and is replacing it with a good copy. I have formatted my drive reinstalled Win98 with no success. both the hard drive and Ram have tested O.K. The only other addin Components are an ATI Expert 98 & a Genius sound card. any ideas??????

Scanreg running on bootup

This may sound crazy, but I had the exact problem after installing GOZilla. I did not isolate the problem until i had wiped/reinstalled win98. I ran normally for about 3 weeks, then re-installed gozilla. The problem returned the next boot. I rolled back the configuration (i had made a ghost image) the problem has not recurred. ..it's been over 6 months now.

Thanks, I Don't have Gozilla installed and even with a fairly fresh installation things don't seem to work much better. A friend has recommended extra cooling as he says AMD's are notorious for overheating and will report all kinds of error messages. I will also try Regclean and see if it is any help.
