Scanning software for WinXP

I recently installed Windows XP and am looking for some a good scanning program.

I have a pretty old scanner (4 years) and the scanning softwareI used is quite old and was designed for 98/ME.

I want to know what is a good scanning program that allows to edit amd manipulate images and maybe has OCR.
