Hey guys,

I am having an issue that not even the Ricoh can't solve. Here is the problem. I have ScanRouter V2 installed on my 2000 server.People do scan and files are saved on the server. However, If I need to change something or add a folder, I have to logon to this ScanRouter V2 Admin that will alow me to do whatever I need. There is no password(is blank) installed. It worked till Friday but today it's asking me to enter one.Noone touched the password.I tried to remove it but couldn't because the I/O Devices are running even though I stopped the SERVICES.There is no master password to override.Any idea how to deal with this? Ricoh (Aficio 1027) claims that there is no other way.I have people that needs to scan yesterday.
Please help. I am logged on to the server as Administrator.

It is very nice to be important but it is very important to be nice.

Process still run even after you have stopped them.

There are 2 ways to stop the service -

1. Go to the service - right click - properties - set it to manual - reboot the server - the service is now off

2.If you know the task that is running you can go to the task manager and end the process there. No reboot is neccessary

Thanks for your e-mail.However all the services has been stopped 1st thing. In order for me to uninstall this software I need to go to the I/O devices within the ScanRouter V2 so I can delete the scanner IP/ID.I can not do it because the password is not correct therefor I can not do much into the ScanRouter V2 Console. I need another way.

It is very nice to be important but it is very important to be nice.

Is the scanner showing up in the printers window

If it is you can remove the IP port within the properties of any printer loaded.

I don't know to tell you

Why don't you try the PC Hardware/General discussion since this is a hardware issue (never mind its on a server) maybe they can point you in how to get it removed without the software.
