Hi all;

I have a problem when it comes to configure a new Scalar i2000 srv of NW I installed.
It is a win2003 server enterprise edition sp2. I have licenses assessment enough. I see the library and drive from the system administrator and also inquire. When it comes to implementing the jbconfig I have the following error -

c:\>jbconfig
1) Configure an AlphaStor/SmartMedia Jukebox.
2) Configure an Autodetected SCSI Jukebox.
3) Configure an Autodetected NDMP SCSI Jukebox.
4) Configure an SJI Jukebox.
5) Configure an STL Silo.
6) Configure a Microsoft Removable Storage Jukebox.

What kind of Jukebox are you configuring? [1] 2

There appear to be no SCSI jukeboxes connected to this system.
This could mean the SCSI jukebox(es) are not connected to the system,
cannot be seen (pending a reboot) or have already been configured.
On Windows Systems, this could mean that the SCSI jukebox(es) are
enabled for Microsoft Removable Storage.

Please rerun the program after making the necessary changes.

Thank

Why don't you show us the inquire output?

I have no personal experience with this device. But i guess it will be used like any other jukebox.

However, as you can see yourself, Windows does not assign a device name (for example \\.\Changer0) to it - instead it reports it as "unknown". Consequently, NW does not find it and of course it can not install it.

So please make sure that the OS correctly recognizes the jukebox first. The ADIC docs should tell you what is necessary to achieve that.

Thank you, problem solved. In Adic there is a choice that must be allocated to the library and jukebox as agents external to the host so that detects, it is a bit unusual, like HP and IBM is not the same. The picks up the single.

Greetings
