Hello,

I use a sbs 2003 server named \\win2003. We are using Exchange 2003 on this \\win2003 .

Our Public Domain Name is something like: bank.com.

Our Private Domain Name is something like: bank.local.

We have 1 public IP. A Sonicwall Appliance has an access rule that points the Public IP to the Priv. IP of the \\win2003.

To get Outlook Web Access to work from home, I have to open an IE Browser & enter the address: .

***Is there any way for me to get to Outlook Web Access at home by using the address: or How can I use mail.bank.com rather than Do I need to add a new Host Record with my ISP?

Thanks for your help.

Yes, you need to add a host record like:
mail.bank.com that points to your public IP.

You should open up ports 80 and 443 on your firewall and you need to rerun the Internet connection Wizard from the SBS To Do List to have SBS generate a certificate for mail.bank.com.

I highly recommend that you also enable forms based authentication since that will allow you to establish your connection over http but will auto direct you to https which is obviously mor secure. Forms based authentication will also give you the option to select your OWA mode (standard or premium view).

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark
