Well I got news for you buddy, the connection has nothing to do with it. It's all about the software you install.
If you were fine with Adelphia, then something obviously changed when you moved over to SBC:

If that's the case, then there's your problem. You don't need it. Your router can handle the connection and IE or a 3rd-party browser like Firefox should do the job nicely.

Might want to lay off the sites full of spam and spyware-infected software.

Whether knowingly or not, this is likely you're problem.
Look, my point is that the issue has nothing to do with the connection, whether you have SBC, Roadrunner, Adelphia, Comcast, whatever... Instead, it's relies more on security settings and bad habits! That "
CRAP" as you put it doesn't just walk itself in there and install on its own, especially if you're quote:
