saving processed images

I'm new to the image processing side of PHP. Reading through the online manual, I can figure out how to grab images from files, manipulate them, and output them to a browser. But I can't seem to find a way of saving a manipulated image onto the server. Where should I look?

You'll output an image to a file on the filesystem using the same function you do to output an image to the browser:

imagejpeg()
or
imagepng()
or
imagexbm()
or
image2sbmp()

as appropriate.
