I have a question regarding saving the running configuration to an external TFTP server for a Cisco 1800 series router. I know how to do it manually, but can you save the running config to a tftp server on a schedule? In other words, can you build a CLI script to run at a set time every day or every week on a specific day and time?

I believe this is possible with recent releases of IOS, but I don't have anything running the really new software, so I'm not sure. I seem to recall that Cisco added a cron-like function to allow you to schedule certain tasks. You might be able to use that.

The command is kron, spelled with a "k", just like the UNIX cron.
