I want to allow my users to be able to input dates into specific date fields from a VB6 application using a Access97 database (using ADO).

The problem occurrs when the users don't want to enter a date i.e. the date field should be updated with "".

Saving a blank date causes an error. Is there a function to overcome this ?

Any help most appreciated.

Moben.

Access dates should be set to 'Null', not ""

rs.Edit
rs.DateField = Null
rs.Update "The Key, The Whole Key, and Nothing But The Key, So Help Me Codd!"
