Hi,

I did the command 'savegrp -G group_name' and it saves the backup using the schedule "default" which is incr. It overrides the save schedule defined in the group which is full..

Any suggestions ?

Thanks for help.

This is nothing else but logical. You can not start with an incremental but only with a full. NW will correct this for you automatically.

I understand this logical, but it did for every time savegrp is initiated even the schedule of the GROUP is set to Full.

Then i suppose, this is a bug or whatever other problem.

Will "savegrp -l full -G group" do the job correctly?

of course this command will work correctly but why should we need to force the option full when in the group is already set it to full ? so, should we have to force all options in the savegrp commande like "parralelims ?, schedule ??.. and everything that is already set in the Group

thanks

As a remote person, i can not see your installation and so i sometimes need more info, not knowing whether this helps at all. But you have the choice: either we agree that it is a bug or we try to investigate the problem.

Something that also may influence the behaivour is the savegroup parameter "force incrmental". It becomes valid if the interval is set to less than 24 hours, according to the manpages. Please check these parameters.

these two parameters are set to :
Interval: 24h00
Force incremental : no

I don't know if this is a bug or is the way Legato works, I did many tests before I post this question..
Do anybody already has this problem and can share their solution ?

What would be your suggestion ?

thank you for your help.
