Saved on PC In Quark 5.0, need to open on MAC in 4.0

I'm a college student, and I was working late last night... it must have slipped my mind that I was supposed to save the file as 4.0... not 5.0.

I've saved it as a *.*qxd file extension... I've tried saving it as a *.*qxt and that's still not working.

I need to open the file... can anybody help?

You are going to have to Open it up in 5.0 and save back to 4.0. I don't think any version of Qurak 4 PC or Mac will be able to recognize a newer version.

You may also have problems with fonts if you are switching between PC and Mac. You may want to keep this in mind. Especially if you have large bodies of text that may reflow if a different font version is used.
