Save version 9 as earlier version 8 or 8.5?

I created a report using version 9, and would like to save it as an earlier version 8 or 8.5
Is there a way to do that?

Version nine was a hard break, no saving backward. There may be some 3rd party tools.

AFAIK, there are no third party tools or utilities that do this for you.

If you really need to use it 9, you can cut and paste objects from the CR9 report, and paste them into a blank CR 8.5 report. It is tedious, but it will work if you have the time to do it.
