save to disk partition not found

I have a dontated laptop for my classroom and I have been able to put an OS on it. When the CP starts it has a red box message that says:
save to disk partition not found
save to disk feature disabled
run PH disk for info
file: create new
Also the system BIOS is shadowed
Help, what should I do?

The 'save to disk' is part of the power saving features of the laptop/notebooks when on battery power.

"run PH disk for info" indicates that a disk came with laptop/notebook from the manufacturer and has the information you need.

"save to disk partition not found" indicates whoever cleaned up the machine deleted it. It is possible it can't be re-created without re-partitioning the hard drive, losing everything in the process.

The 'system BIOS is shadowed' may not be a problem in itself.

If you don't have 'PH disk for info' check the manufacturers web site for information or a manual.
