I'm working on a crystal report (.rpt) that was created in a previous version of crystal reports. I am using version 9 to edit the report, but need to save in this old format/version (pre-version 9).

When I want to save it asks me "This report is from a previous version of Crystal Reports. Do you want to overwrite it with the latest report format?"

If I chose YES, it overwrites the file version rendering it useless to me, if I choose NO it does not save my work.

I need to save my work but keep it in the old format/version. How do I do this? (File > Save As does not give an option to specify version)

Thanks.

You can't save to previous version from CR9. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

You will have to install the earlier version of CR then make your changes in that version.
