Just thought I'd throw this one up.
I've recently installed a VPN tunnel between two remote sites. One site has an ADSL connection the other a two-way satellite. The VPN in firewall to firewall using cisco 506e firewalls.
I am aware that there are performance issues with satellite VPNs however mine seems to be running at terrible speeds (it took over 3 hours to join the two domains into a forest!) I'm also trying to setup exchange 2000 in the new site and keep getting messages saying the master schema server cannot be located etc. I'm guessing that when the master site (ADSL) tries to contact the remote site it times out. I've reconfigured the firewall to allow a larger timeout period for udp, rpc etc. with no success.
Has anyone experienced similar problems and if so how did you get round this?
