Hi All

Can anyone provide any info on the following. I have installed two sata drives running stripped i get an option on the default blocks size ranging from 8kb to 64 kb can anyone tell me what advantages are in setting lower and higher block sizes. I am installing 2003 server on these drives

If it's a server of any importance, I'd stop stripping immediately too, unless you are considering RAID 5 rather than RAID 0.

Its a build i use at home for training anything of importance is backed up onto an external drive if it goes wrong its usually good practice for me to rebuild

Obviously you are well versed in the fragility of RAID 0 already! I backup to an external (eSATA) drive anyway, as well as keeping all the family photos archived to DVDs.
