SAN BOOT AIX 5.2

Does anybody SAN BOOT (ESS) an AIX 5.2 machine or parition? I've been doing it with 5.3, however, I don't have any on 5.2.

Can I use MPIO, just like I do with 5.3 or do I have to use SDD? Is SAN boot supported on 5.2?

Hi

If you can Boot from SAN is only Microcode related, and not sdd, or mpio.
The sdd,mpio does only the Path Management if one is visible over more the one Path.
You can select your boot Device in the SMS over the Adapter to boot from.
