Hey all,

I was just wondering if there is a way that I could have the same user account in more than one OU. Is that possible? Here's the reason:
I work in a school setting. I have one OU for the yearbook students, one OU for the art students etc.etc. Is there any way I could do that?

Thanx in advance,
Michael

I'm sorry I made a boo boo....

Just right click on the group you want to add them to, then click on properties, then members tab....click on add.

You can't have a user in more then one OU. This might complicate group membership at times (experienced this myself at one point), but we'll have to manage. If this is about applying multiple policy sets to one user, you can apply the policy of one OU to the other and with the permissions tab of it, make it apply only to the specific user.

Good luck!

As Palagast states you can't have a user in two OUs, but that does not apply to groups.
Create two groups, one for the student year book, one for art students. Place the groups as members of the OUs
