I have some strange problem with our samba server.
some users can login to certain systems, like for example, i can login to my own system in the domain, but the other user cannot login to my system, and he can login to this system, but i can't, it's really strange, and when unable to login it's saying domain is not available. anyone has clue on what's wrong? pls help, thanks

Most prolly its something to do with user and group permissions.

Is the a Linux or Windows PDC?

How are the linux samba servers "security" setting configured: "domain or ADS, server, user, share"

Try to define your samba server as the wins server, and declare them in the windoze clients.

Hope This Help

you should check the smb.conf(5) wich is the offical manual fo the samba configuration file,
and change the comments in the public section,
where you give acces to users.
