How can I map my home directory in Samba? I've look all through documentation and can't find anything to help me. I'm trying to access the [homes] share since that is they way it is in smb.conf

example: net use h: \\server1\homes

it then askes me for username and password but when I enter valid ones it just says "Network path not found!"

First, with most configurations, the homes isn't really accessible from a windows client by that name - it would be accessed as \\server1\username.

You seem to have an authentication problem. So, before you worry about mapping, can you browse Windows 'Network Neighborhood' correctly? Have you created samba users?
