SAMBA for OpenVMS

Has anyone used SAMBA for VMS? i am trying to set up a file sync between two OpenVMS Boxes. I was thinking of using SAMBA to mount the remote drive (or dir) and doing a diff on it and then syncing the files. If there is a better way (say maybe an RSYNC for OpenVMS) I would RAELLY like to know.
