Does anybody know of a way to salvage files off of a W2K server like you can do with a Novell Server? With the novell server, if a user accidentally deletes a file, then you can go to the dos prompt and type salvage. You can then go to and recover the file without having to go to a tape backup. Nifty little tool. (We're running Novell 4.0, so I don't even know if it's available with the latest versions of Novell.) Thanks. Glen A. Johnson

I'm not aware of any native tools to do it; undelete.exe isn't included with the OS any more. :-( I'd imagine there are plenty of third-party utilities that will, but I rely on tape backups to solve this particular issue.
