Hi All,
This is as much something to be aware of as a question for the forum.
There appears to be an issue when running with Safnet's SoftRemoteLT software on Dell C-Class Latitude laptops.
Basically these laptops came with a docking station containing a separate network card (3com 905C), when Safenet is installed on to the machine the policy imports successfully and the all seems OK. However, when the user plugs their laptop in to a Dell Docking station with network card #2 installed, the network card is not seen by Windows, nor is it available for use.
The solution lies locked in a sequence wherby you have to disable, install, uninstall and "tamper" with the network configuration, and eventually if you get it right, the netowkr cards can co-exist.
This is a very frustrating issue unknown to Safent, Dell, Equiinet and even the almighty Google! If anyone else has experienced these kinds of problems, or knows any solutions, I would appreciate your opionion/findings!
Thanks and Regards,
Mike Firth
