Hi guys,

wonder if anyone can offer an outline of how to do the following, personally think it is pointless and defeats the reason for having a hunt group, but this is what a client would like.

Set up - IP office v3 running VM Pro on a server.

Client has 6 handsets (1001,1002,1003,1004,1005,1006)

and a second group (1014, 1015, 1016)

Now when the main number is called (1000) it rings on group 1, if unanswered will roll over to group 2 and then to voicemail.

What the client would like is to be able to override ringing on each handset and going straight to the hunt group voicemail.

Ideally they wish this to be a hard key assignment, although are willing to accept having to activate it on each handset.

I have tried a variety of different options, all I seem to do is end up getting the main number engaged.

Initially I though a send all calls on the first station with forward hunt calls activiated, might work.

Then DND each member and finally huntenable/disable

No joy.

It must go to the hunt group voicemail

any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Stewart

What about a hunt group out of service or night service button?

Create a button called SetHuntGroupOutofService and the huntgroup number in the adjacent field

Ok, must admit I have never used those commands, do I have to set an overflow group, or will it select VM automatically. Is the setHuntgroup a toggle button on and off? If not what enable buttonm will I require?

Thanks guys for the quick response, just need to be clear what the effects are before I make it live.

Yes its a toggle button, no need for overflow. It will go to a outofservice fallback group if you have one set in the fallback tab of the group... if there is no fallback group it will goto voicemail, if voicemail on is ticked on the group

Works like a dream, top draw effort guys

Thanks

Give the boys a star, go on, you know you want to!
