I have a redundant S8700, 3 PNs, redundant IPSIs all connected to their own isolated, redundant control network. I ran the dot upgrade to 4.0.5 (remotely) and came in the next day to find that at least one of the PNs had lost connectivity: Night Service turned off and 8400 phones needed speaker resets. The system status said (and continues to say) standby is refreshed, shadowing is on and duplication is up. There were no alarms raised during the upgrade.
I did the pre-upgrade step, ran the load on the standby, interchanged servers and ran the load on the (formerly)active. I'm going to schedule some time in the office after hours to interchange again and see what happens but seems to me the system shouldn't have behaved the way it did and looking at it I don't see any smoking gun. Thought I would throw this out there for brainstorming and see what came back. Thanks.
