Has anyone done this?
We are moving an S8700 for a customer from one room to another.
Cabling is all in place (SM fiber, Ethernet, CAT5, etc...)
We are moving just the S8700 from a server room to the phone switch room
where all the cabinets & EPNs are located.
Is it possible to move the servers one-at-a-time and keep the
phone system up?
I figure we can shutdown the standby server, power it off,
move it, power it up, make it active and then do the same
for the other server.
On paper it should work, but I can't find anybody inside
or outside Avaya who has done it or has heard of it being
done.
Thanks for any input.
