I've encountered an S8500 with G650 CM2.0 and there is no IP Address listed for the controller. We can access it via CLAN but there is no way to get to the web-interface.

(The problem we are trying to solve is correcting the Time, but also there are no MSP's, I can go shell but the Linux command for setting time is not permitted either.)

Would there be catastrophic problems if an IP Address was entered in for the controller? Several of us were wondering if it would crash this switch and requre re-formatting or re-install?

Thanks,

Toni

I doubt that. Go into the "Services Port" on the back, its IP in 192.11.13.6/30, set your PC to 192.11.13.5, you should be able to telent/use a web browser to it, and run "Configure Server" to correct the "Customer LAN" interface IP address.
