Why do I always get Runtime errors in Internet Explorer on
certain web pages? The exact error ALWAYS says the same
thing and I don't know how to make it go away. I've even
formatted my hard drive and re-installed windows 98se.
It seems to always start happening after I download all
the Win98 updates from the Microsoft update site but I
don't know which module causes it. Here is exactly what the
message always says:
A runtime error has occurred.
Do you wish to debug?
Line: 394
Error: Unterminated string constant.
How do I make this message go away? I have to stop and
click NO every time. If I click yes, I get the debugger
which I have no clue what to do with, and when I close that
is closes all my explorer windows and I have to reopen it.
Is there some setting somewhere I can turn off to just
make IE ignore this stupid and most annoying error?
It isn't even consistent and it is the only software I have
problems with.
It does it as IE 4, it does it when I upgrade to 5 and 5.5
and now that I've upgraded to IE 6 I can't even view ebay
because that stupid message comes up on every page on that
site. Any help would be very much appreciated!!
