Running Netbeui on a NT network

I have seen similar posts ,but this is not quite the same problem.How will running Netbeui stop some PC's being shown in network neighbourhood? The network is on NT4.0 within a single domain, generally the client machines run NT4.0 although there are some 95 clients aswell.
Also I have Windows 95 machines that will not connect to the network without Netbeui?
I have read posts saying remove Netbeui from the network with which I agree but by doing so some machines either dont log on to the network or are not seen in the Domain.
