Running Internet Services Manager (HTML)

Newby to IIS. Trying to administer IIS with the browser-based admin tool.

From the Administration Web Site node in IIS, I right-clicked, chose browse and get the page not found screen. At the bottom of this screen is a http 500 internal server error. The URL is

http://localhost:2693/.

I'm probably missing something obvious, but just can't find it.
