I would like to defrag Exchange database with eseutil.
Since I’m not sure what I’m doing I thought of using my test machine which has the same version of the server I have in production.
This machine does not have exchange yet, but my question would be:

1- Can I install Exchange on the test machine, and then copy the whole MDBDATA to run eseutil?
2- What would be the problem of having 2 Exchange running on the network?

Any help would be very appreciated
thank you

1. You'd best read the DR whitepaper. It'll help you in the long run.
2. No problems with multiple Exchange boxes, but I wouldn't go putting a copy of your production db on two of them.
