Hi,

I have an access database which is giving me problems when i run it on a network. It will run fine whilst on my desktop, but when run from the network, it constantly stalls and crashes. I am using maketbl queries and am also appending to and deleting from tables.....any ideas why this would happen????

Thanks

I asume that your front is on the individual PC and that the backend is on the server only?
Also the delete tbl and create tbl are made on the front end?

i am using linked tables from the back-end...however i had to create duplicates of these because i had problems querying some of the linked tables, so once these linked (back-end) tables are re-created everything else is done on the front end!

does login as sysadmin on the PC make any difference, as to me it could look like lack of rights to the server.

Well i have other databases running on the server so i dont think thats the problem....
