could i run an Access 2000 app without having access installed on my computer??? if so, pls tell me how i can do it
Mohamed Aly
samara_79@hotmail.com

no, unless the Access app was made into a stand alone application with Access Developer
Brian Famous
bfamous@ncdoi.net

you can use the access run time kit which allows you to run databases, but means you cannot see the database window (f11 window). This is what you should use when distribing a database for network use as it makes the database a lot more secure...

(I don't know about the 2000 version of this - it may have been discontinued).

Thx famousb and Zelandakh,
but what's access run time kit???
Mohamed Aly
samara_79@hotmail.com

The Access2000 Runtime files do exist, but so far I have only seen them on the Access2000 Developer CD.
