I have an application that will not run with Access 2002 on the PC (mscal.ocx mismatch). The vendor has suggest that I uninstall, Office XP and install Office 2000. Rather than lose some of the new features in XP is it possible to uninstall Access 2002 and install Access 2000 in a different folder?
Thanks for your help.

Give us more info. What application? What Vendor? What is the specific error message?

The application is EasyLender a Mortgage Pipeline product by Fiserv. Their Tech support people have told me they don't support the mscal.ocx found in Office XP (10) and have asked me to uninstall XP and re-install Office 2000. I am trying to figure out if I can do this only for Access which is where the mscal.ocx was registered and keep the rest of Office XP

You can do this although it sounds like EasyLender looks for the ocx file in the standard Office install local.

If so, Install Office2000/MSAccess and then install 2002 in a different location.

That should do the trick... and yes, you can have your cake and eat all you want. Rhonin
