Running a .aspx page in IIS 5.0

I have a windows 2000 server running IIS 5.0. What configuation changes do I have to make to run a .aspx page on the server. I have the .net 2.0 environment and visual studio 2005 on my devoloper machine, which is XP pro. I used VWD to create my web pages. How do I get it to run through IIS. Right now I get the following error.
Server Application Unavailable
The web application you are attempting to access on this web server is currently unavailable. Please hit the "Refresh" button in your web browser to retry your request.

Administrator Note: An error message detailing the cause of this specific request failure can be found in the application event log of the web server. Please review this log entry to discover what caused this error to occur.
"The event log dosent give any thing useful to me."
