Hello,

I am faced with an interesting challenge. We are currently running JDE OneWorld version 73.2 and are beginning the testing portion of an upgrade to XE. In our past experience, the actual go-live of the JDE solution was rocky to say the least. That said, we are all feeling quite nervous about the actual "go-live", even if all of the testing goes well. We're running with Sql Server 7.0 databases.

So, the challenge is to have 2 versions of JDE OneWorld running in parallel for a short time after the go-live. By saying this, I mean that the data between the 2 environments should be synchronized every night in the case that we will have to roll back to the old version at some point. The largest hurdle as I see it is the fact that the database objects between the 2 versions seem to be significantly different.

I am still in the brainstorming process for making this happen, and would LOVE to hear any suggestions that you folks have from experience or stabs in the dark. Has anyone performed an upgrade from 73.2 to XE? How did you handle the go-live?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions, comments...

at1108, I'm sorry to tell you, but this isn't the best forum for JDE on the CNC level. pay a visit to and subscribe to their mailing list. I suggest setting up a yahoo or hotmail e-mail box for all of hte 50-100 per day messages you'll receive. It's the best list around for JDE support. Monkeylizard
