We are running the primary domain controller as NT4. right now it is also the DHCP server. We just implemented a w2k server with terminal services. The thought was to put the DHCP services on the w2k server. Does it have to be promoted to the primary server for it to work. Seems like when I set it up as the DHCP server it didn't work. Something about being authenticated but NT4 doesn't do that. Do i sound as confused as I feel?

Thanks

It will work OK you just need to setup the scope of addresses and authorize the server.A simple matter of right click on the server in DHCP and authorize.
