Run vb program through the browser

would like to build a database app using a web browswer as the user interface. Must i you an activeX control? If so how do i call and ocx file from the browser. Any info or links would be a big help.
Spelling is important and reflective of attention to detail. May I suggest, instead of "Must i you an activeX", "Must I use an activeX"? Also in place of, "If so how do i call and ocx file", "If so, how do I call an ocx file"?
