Run Time Error / Multiable access

I am getting a run time error 7866 telling me that MS Access can't open the database becouse it is missing, or opened exclusively by another user.

What is happening is that I start the program and will pull the information for the front page, put when I run a Report on the same database, from the same program it will not let me and gives:

Access can't open the database becouse it is missing, or opened exclusively by another user

I made a copy of the database and gave it a a different name and coded that new name in and it works. is there a option in VB or Access that will allow multiable user at the same time to acces the database?

any help would be great.
