Run-time Error 3211

I am getting a Run-time error 3211, which states; The database engine could not lock table 'table_name' beaue it is already in use by another person or process.

How do I close/unlock my table/query from the control that has it locked?

You're going to need to supply more detail. What application are you coding in (Access, Excel, or?)? What database are you tapping in to? Do you have any idea who/what's got the dbase locked? And what's your code so far?
