I'm using an old Clipper (S87) app that fails on the command RUN RRUNTIME REPORT n - I'm calling the R&R runtime executable with a Win98 workstation running on a W2000 server. I'm getting no error # in the message, other than RUN error on line 895 (RUN RRUNTIME REPORT n). I've checked my files & buffer commands, seem to be ok.

Any ideas?? Thanks.

Have you set up a DOS shell command in the *.nt files? Also, the environment space may be too small for the shell.

David Tracy

By the way, remember that Clipper S87 ISN'T Y2K compliance. You may get troubble with dates fields and variables. Consider to upgrade to clipper 5.x. It has the "set epoch to" statement that resolves the problem.
If you don't have the source code, Valkyrie manages both Clipper S87 and 5.x.
Then, in Clipper 5.x you have many ways to manage the "run" command.
Good luck.

Thanks.

I forced the initial environment space size in the properties of the shortcut. Do I need to do something on the Windows 2000 server (you mentioned the *.nt files)? It would appear this is related to the workstation? Maybe?

Good point about Y2K, fortunately, this app isn't critical in terms of date sensitivity. What are the ways with Clipper 5.2 to manage the RUN command?

Appreciate it.
