I have a rule in Outlook where mail addressed to my wife goes to her folder.

However, mail addressed to both my wife and i go to her box. ie she gets 2 emails and I get none.

Is there a solution to this?

Thanks

Without knowing the rules in effect, it's hard to tell. However, keep in mind that:[ol][li] multiple mail rules are processed in the order listed[/li][li]for every message, all rules are processed unless a 'stop processing' command is encountered[/li][li]the rule criteria behaves on the wildcard principal[/li][/ol]

The difference between the two, otherwise identical, e-mails is that one has been received by you and one has been received by your wife.

Instead of checking who the mail is To (which will be the same in both cases), check which account it has been Received by.

There is an option in the rules which says "when received through the specified account". Either add this to your existing rule - or more likely replace your existing rule with this alone. When added through the wizard you will need to click on specified and select the account; when created based on a received item, I think Outlook will save you the trouble and the option will read "when received through the my wife account" and be ready for selection as is.

Enjoy,
Tony

Sorry, forgot to mention that this option is not available pre-2000 so, if you're using Outlook 98, I think you're stuck with it.

Enjoy,
Tony
