Hi,

further to a recent posting by nell1, can someone help me with the following.

I want to create rule that moves an email that I've just sent. I have created one using a template but it only "moves a copy" so I end up with the email in my sent box AND a copy in the relevant sub folder of the Sent Items folder.

I want it to MOVE the email, not copy it but can't seem to see the relevant setting in the rules wizard?

Any ideas. It's Outlook 2k I'm using.

Cheers! Steve

Try Tools, Options, E-Mail Options button, uncheck 'Save copies...in Sent Items'. Now see if it will work the way you want. Unfortunately, this will apply to all messages you send, even if your 'move' rule only applies to some.

steij,

I'm speaking of Outlook XP here, but I seem to remember Outlook 2000 being the same.

You can't use one of the Rules templates to do what you want -- start with a blank rule in the wizard. There will be an option for what you want to do. Just follow your nose.
