This is a puzzling issue.

Users are behind a 2600 rtr with the firewall feature set. All seemed to be working fine until recently (no config changes have been done). When any user or server goes to the Internet, (yahoo.com for example) the pages come back incomplete. No errors on the page just not filled in. Take one of those same laptops and take it home and it works flawlessly.

I ran continous pings from that laptop to the internet and get no time outs or bad response times (all were around 60-70 ms. Ran for several minutes. Tried bringing up the web page to yahoo as I was pinging it. Still the same results and no time outs.

I can't put my finger on what the problem is. Any ideas?

So at work, you don't have to stipulate a proxy server to connect to the Internet?

No not at all. Just plug and play... Well pray might be more like it. :)

most of the page loads. Some stuff doesn;t though.

Well... Here is what I think was the answer. The mail server caught a virus. This was consuming all the bandwidth. I am not sure why this wasn't detectable when I ran continous pings. It seems fine for now.

Thanks Ya'll
