This may not be the correct forum to post in, but I couldn't find one that seemed more accurate.

Several of our IT Team have started using Outlook 2007 beta to get ready for next year's requests. Among these a couple have been interested in the RSS Feeds functionslity in Outlook. So I clued a couple of them in to an RSS feed I wrote a while back that ties into our ticket system. Based on some querystring values you can get a list of all unnassigned tickets or all open tickets assigned to a specific user.

The feed is completely RSS 2.0 compliant, includes information like the ttl, pubDates, etc.

So here is the issue. When they first add the RSS feed it dutifully hits the ASP page I have generating the RSS feed, downloads the items, and adds them as unread. From what we can tell it either never refreshes or never adds new items to the list. The Feed is configured to use the publishers default refresh time (in this case 15 minutes, per the ttl tag). If I re-add the feed, it will download again, but only the one time.

I am in the process of adding some simple logging to the feed generation page to see if Outlook is even requesting the feed again after initial download, I was just interested if anyone had run into this phenomenon before, either as a user trying to refresh a feed or a developer trying to work on an RSS feed generator.
