rsh just hangs

I am running the following rsh command which just hangs (cursor simply flashes)

rsh sundevlunx001 su - oraprod "/u00/DBA/scripts/test.sh"

all test does is echo hello which works fine when ran from the other box?!?!?

After investigation i have discovered that rcp also does not work. however to another box on the network works fine. I have checked .rhosts file which has entry on both servers.

No error is displayed cursor just flashes. Has Anyone seen this before?
