RS/6000 Model 150 displays ??? as CPU speed

anyone know why this happens? i'm not getting any error messages. if i use the pmcycles command it clocks the correct CPU speed, but the prtconf command gives me the following output:

/usr/sbin/prtconf[81]: (procspeed%1000000) >= 500000: bad number

any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks!
